We would like to acknowledge that 2021 has been a very challenging year for most people in light of the Global Pandemic. Given this, the Guest Editors in agreement with JSFD Editors, have made a collective decision to extend the submission deadline from Dec 1^st 2021 to Feb 1^st 2022. We would, however, still encourage those who are able to make their submission well in advance of Feb 1^st 2022 to do so, and we thank those who have already submitted a manuscript.

To be considered for the special issue, please upload your manuscript through JSFD’s online portal by 1^st February 2022. Due to the new date we will not be able to extend anything beyond this deadline, if we are to keep to our intention of having the special issue published in late 2022.

Please indicate that the manuscript should be considered for this special issue in your cover letter. Submitted manuscripts should ensure to follow the author guidelines and manuscript format of JSFD. To discuss a potential submission, feel free to contact any of the special issue guest editors.
