Manuscripts from the first round of submissions are currently under review. We hope to begin publishing successfully reviewed articles online in June/July 2012. In the meantime, JSFD is now accepting rolling/ongoing submissions. Manuscripts may be submitted at any time and will be processed and reviewed on a first-come first-served basis.

JSFD invites original research and case studies related to Sport for Development from across disciplines, thematic areas, and geographies. Types of articles JSFD aims to publish:

- Outcome evaluations of SFD programmes
- Process evaluations of SFD programmes (quantitative and/or qualitative)
- Intervention designs and best practices
- Systematic reviews
- Case studies capturing innovative practices/ideas
- Commentaries
- Letters to the editor

All manuscripts will undergo a rigorous peer review process.
